REFULI MIXED CHOIR
The Refuli mixed choir from Rab (meaning: gusts of wind), was founded in 2013 and is active within Pučko otvoreno učilište Rab. The choir consists of about fifty permanent members, amateur singers of different age groups from the island of Rab. It participates in all important events, enriching the cultural life of the local community and promoting our traditional heritage outside Croatia.
The choirmaster is Tatjana Zorić, music teacher and musicologist from Zadar. She bases her work on the idea of Dalmatian multipart music, whose most important folk song collector was "the guardian of the Dalmatian musical heritage, arranger, composer and conductor", maestro Ljubo Stipišić Delmata.
The Refuli mixed choir strives to preserve Stipišić's great musical legacy as part of the rich cultural heritage of Croatia.
